It remains one of our favourite places to stay overnight in the busy city of Cardiff. Honestly, we’ve been here so many times before it’s not even a joke… What do we love about it? Everything. Situated in the exquisite area of Cardiff Bay – it’s probably the city’s best Hotel to visit – with all the amenities of Cardiff Bay and also the wetlands just a short walk away. It’s a 5 star hotel through and through.
Boasting panoramic sea views across the Penarth Marina – St. David’s is a distinct landmark in the city. It has a huge carpark which is free if you’re staying in the hotel, its rooms are decorated to the highest standard, it also boasts a gourmet restaurant, a fantastic gym with sea views and a convenient indoor pool with a massive jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
The whole experience of staying at St. David’s hotel is what Vida Unique is all about. I’ve said before, we’ve been there countless times and it’s always revitalising – so this time we decided to attend only the spa (including the swimming areas) as we were looking to relax and re-energise after an exhaustive week of work. It always works a treat!
My friend had booked a massage therapy session for us and as usual, we made the most of it. The session was very tranquil, we waited in the mind and body themed room – with comfy lounge beds, huge pillows and double warm duvets – beautifully decorated with an electric fireplace and soul soothing ambient sounds.
I had a full body massage which lasted for about one hour. The masseuse was friendly and we had a good chat about anything and everything… by the time she was done, I felt like I was walking on clouds!
We then went for a quick swim and a jacuzzi session followed by a light lunch at the restaurant before heading back home.
If you haven’t been to the St. Davids Hotel yet, rest assured it is everything you expectand more. Well deserving of a 5 star Vida Unique rating
