On a trip to Windsor during the easter weekend, me and my partner decided to visit the local Cote Brasserie for lunch, with our 5 year old daughter – looking for a taste of traditional french cuisine.

It’s not like we didn’t have a wide selection of restaurants available to us, but since we’d aldready been to our local Cote Brasserie in the Welsh capital of Cardiff, we we decided to  give this one a try. It was clear to us that we made the choice immediately upon arrival as everything about it was once again spot on. From its location, sitting by the river front to the warm, relaxed and effortlessly discrete atmosphere inside it.

For starters we ordered Olives, Calamari and Mussels and for my main dish I chose the Roast Duck Breast (served pink) with gratin potato and griottine cherry sauce – accompanied with a glass of La Lande Rouge 2017 red wine – It was the perfect balance between sea food and poultry, enough to satisfy my sudden desire for something reminiscent of a French experience!
