Ever tried White Water Rafting? Just around the corner from London in Hertfordshire is the Lee Valley Water Centre. It was the venue for canoeing events at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Although this was an Olympic Venue, enthusiasts of all abilities can participate in activities such as as group white water rafting.
Modelled on slalom skiing, the first canoe slalom events were included at the 1992 Olympics, held in Barcelona. The Olympic Standard Competition course requires 13,000 litres of water to be pumped every second which is enough to fill a 25 metre swimming pool in 30 seconds.
You can expect fast and thrilling rapids, perfect conditions to challenge your friend and family, while having an unforgettable experience. Honestly, the adrenaline is so good that I’ve been not once, not twice but FIVE times!!!
