Art aficionados in Edinburgh will be kicking themselves, if they miss out on the fantastic work of Mark Wallinger – currently on display at the Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh Old Town, between the 4th of March and the 4th of June 2017!
The exhibition is actually going to be executed in two separate parts, one at the Fruitmarket Gallery and the other at the Dundee Contemporary Arts, and if you don’t know what to expect, here’s a few things to consider:
Mark Wallinger’s exhibitions consciously and conceptually invoke a psychological test, they challenge what you extract from them, by bringing our own subjective experience, feelings and emotions into it. He uses the whole notion of ‘Inkblot’, originally tested by psychologists for many decades, to elicit some kind of response to determine one state of mind.
Having achieved many accolades, including winning the The Turner Prize, (Britain’s leading award for artists) the artist remains one of the most charismatic, amongst contemporary authors. This makes the chance of witnessing one of Marks’s exhibitions in Edinburgh, a potentially unforgettable experience!
