Just returned from a business trip in Barcelona, after staying for three nights at the brilliant Pullman Barcelona Skipper. The meeting  I was supposed to attend only lasted a couple of hours but I decided to book three days away so I could enjoy one Europe’s top cities in my own time and on my own terms.

After some digging around for the best hotel deals on Tripadvisor, I chose to book three nights in an executive superior room at the Pullman Hotel. Immediately upon arrival, the hotel felt incredibly nostalgic, with its ultra modern deco and sleek designing, and not to mention it is near the barcelona beach and marina.

After attending my obligations, I ventured into town for a little wander around and the first thing i did was looking for a place to eat. The food in Barcelona is just out of this world, with local and international cuisine restaurants available on every corner of the city, there’s plenty to choose from.

I then spent the rest of my stay, romanticising the city on my own… I hoped on the subway, went on trams, visited a few different museums including the Picasso Museum and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, met and chatted away with lovely locals, visited a couple of its famous bohemian bars such as Bar Mutis and the Bobby Gin, and of course every night I strolled along the gorgeous beach located near the hotel.

All in all, it was an amazing experience which I will for sure repeat very soon… Gracias Barcelona!
