2019 Bath Fringe Festival: Get Lost in the Explosive Fun!
Besides being the largest city in Somerset, the vibrant city of Bath ranks as one of the most beautiful cities in the United Kingdom. It is widely known for its all-year-round-events which attracts thousands of people across the globe. Among these invigorating events is the Bath Fringe Festival which holds every year in the early summer.
The annual event is typically packed with all form of creativity, from art to music, dance and a host of others in between.
A little ride to the past.
Going back in history, the Bath Fringe Festival started several decades ago. It is believed to be the direct descendant of the Walcot Festivals that rocked the 70s and 80s.
Since its inception in 1981, the festival has never derailed from its origin of culture, art, music, and other forms of creativity. In fact, it has grown by leaps and bounds into one of the highly anticipated festivals in the UK.
The 2019 Bath Fringe Festival promises 17 days of explosive fun, featuring over 120 events spread across 24 venues. It is scheduled to run from 24th of May to 9th of June, with each day packed-full with a number of exciting performances from both popular and new artists.
This year’s event is sure to be off the hook with collaborations between the Bath Fringe Festival, Komedia Bath and the Bath Festival. So much fun packed in 17 days!
Recent news from the ‘pipeline’ affirms that the music programme will be a blast, with groundbreaking performances and more venues.
As usual, Fringe’s outdoor Arts is ready to blow you away. This year, we will see a special display of made-in-Bath piece on June 9th to commemorate the event. The Bedlam Fair scheduled for 1st and 2nd of June also promises to be intriguing with displays from renowned artists as well as unknown artists.

The line-up for this 17 days explosive fun includes

A sneak peek into the line-up revealed that the show will be opened with amazing performances from Moonshot, Modou Ndiaye, and Tantalising Tasters at The Mision. While the last day of this incredibly invigorating festival will be headlined by shows from Cocoloco, BathTub Orchestra, The Iain Ballamy Quartet (IBQT), Lawrie Duckworth, Hat & Feather Forever, Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band, Ordinary Days, and (of course) Walcot Arts Weekend.
We also expect special performances from established Fringe institutions such as BUST, 20:20 Bath Comedy Festival, Vision, Cielo, BUSM, and Bella.
The event will be held across 24 venues, with the Green Park Station, The Mission Theatre, The Bell, Green Park Brasserie, The Museum of Bath at Work, Chapel Arts Centre, The Old Theatre Royal, Walcot Chapel, Meet at Saracen’s Head, and Rondo Theatre being among the popular venues.
