On a trip to Windsor during the easter weekend, me and my partner decided to visit the local Cote Brasserie for lunch, with our 5 year old daughter – looking for a taste of traditional french cuisine.
It’s not like we didn’t have a wide selection of restaurants available to us, but since we’ve already been to our local Cote Brasserie in the Welsh capital of Cardiff, we decided to give this one a try to see how it measures up.
For starters we ordered Olives, Calamari and Mussels and for my main dish I chose the Roast Duck Breast (served pink) with gratin potato and griottine cherry sauce – accompanied with a glass of La Lande Rouge 2017 red wine. It was the perfect balance between sea food and poultry, delicious enough to satisfy my sudden desire for something reminiscent of a taste of France!
It was clear to us the right choice was made immediately upon arrival, as everything about Windsor’s Cote was spot on. From its location – sitting by the river front, to the warm, relaxed and discrete atmosphere inside it. It goes without saying but of course we recommend it!
