Meet the young banker who has risen to the very top, aged just 33:
Joe Gordon became First Direct’s youngest ever boss after just 24 months into what was his first banking job – an impressive accomplishment indeed, bearing in mind he’s also currently one of the youngest people to have ever make it to the higher ranks of the UK banking system.
Born in Leeds, the tenacious Lancaster University graduate studied Business Management and has previously worked for BT, Sainsbury’s and HSBC before joining HSBC’s sub company First Direct two years ago…
Funnily enough the young bank boss has a peculiar interest – He enjoys climbing mountains (no pun intended), boasting Mount Teide as one of his conquests, while setting his sights on Mount Kilimanjaro!
At Vida Unique we like to praise those who excel and Joe’s story is indeed an inspiration which should be studied by young students and graduates who wish to take over the corporate world.
An example of what having charisma and good manners, backed up by a huge appetite for learning and striving can do – it shows that the level of professional success in our lives can be directly measured by the level of standards we set for ourselves!
