Have you tried White Water Rafting yet? If not, you don’t know what you could be missing.
Just around the corner from London in Hertfordshire is where you’ll find the Lee Valley Water Centre – the same venue which was used for the canoeing events at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. And although this was an Olympic Venue, enthusiasts of all abilities are still able to participate in its many activities including the popular ‘group white water rafting.’
Modelled after slalom skiing, the Olympic Standard Competition course requires 13,000 litres of water to be pumped every second which is enough to fill a 25 metre swimming pool in 30 seconds.
Honestly, the adrenaline is so good that I’ve been not once, not twice but three times. Be sure to expect super fast and thrilling rapids and get ready to challenge your friends and family to have an absolute blast!
